Well, I’ve got a set of nonfiction science reading passages that will make it easy for you to teach key science topics and key reading skills all at the same time. Cross-curricular instruction can be a beneficial way to help students learn key content knowledge while also developing their reading and writing skills.
In this resource, you’ll get six nonfiction science articles that are jam-packed with text features, written in a variety of text structures, and will help your students practice key reading skills like summarizing, identifying main ideas, evaluating key details… and more.
But, your students will also be learning about an interesting science topic – the seven biomes of the world. Each passage in this set shares important details and facts related to the seven biomes of the world (see below for a detailed list). You can use these passages as part of your science lessons, your reading lessons, or both!
